Central Maine Community College Learning Commons is a member of  Minerva which consists of public, academic, and specialty libraries. There are millions of books, audiobooks, and movies that are made available to you through Minerva.

How do I request books from other libraries?

To search for items at other Minerva libraries: 

Go to the CMCC Catalog

Choose the arrow next to the box that says Central Maine Community College

Search for individual libraries or All Minerva Locations (which appears at the top of the list) in the drop down box 
 

 To request from another library in Minerva: 

Find an item you would like to request

Click on the button located at the top of the screen

Enter your name and barcode number (located on the back of your CMCC ID)

You will receive an email to your CMConnect address when your item arrives

How long can I keep an item?

How long can you keep material?

Minerva Books, Movies & Audiobooks have a three-week loan period with the possibility of one renewal for an additional two weeks.

MaineCat Books, Movies & Audiobooks have a four-week loan period with the possibility of one renewal for an additional two weeks.

Reserves are high use items that are limited to in Library, Overnight, 3 day or 1 week loans

Magazines and Reference books do not circulate

You can renew items by going to your Patron Information.
