ENG 125 Introduction to Literature

The Writing Center

The Writing Center

The Writing Center provides help with all phases of the writing process such as; organization, revision, grammar, and MLA/APA documentation styles. All CMCC students can receive free tutoring from the Writing Center.

This term, the Writing Center will be all virtual and offer 2 options:

First:  ZOOM Virtual Writing Center

(Live video and audio conferencing) with Zoom tutoring; you have face-to-face help with your papers.  You must have a camera on your laptop or desktop to access zoom.  You can access the Zoom Writing Center two ways. First, you can schedule your ZOOM videoconference in Appointment Plus. https://booknow.appointment-plus.com/y73qhr9c/  Your writing center tutor will then email you a link to connect to your ZOOM videoconference. Or, you can just click on the links below during those particular times.  Most likely your tutor can help you right away or will set up an appointment with you right then. Your tutor will instruct you how to upload your paper (from a file) once you have logged into the videoconference.
Email Dennis Camire if you have any questions or would like assistance logging on: dcamire@cmcc.edu

Zoom conferencing times.
(May 17th - August 16th 2021)

If these Zoom times don’t work with your schedule, e-mail Dennis directly with your preferred times and he will schedule an appointment at your convenience. dcamire@cmcc.edu.

Second: Online Writing Center (Brightspace / e-mail)

Submitting all, or part of your paper to the On-Line Writing Center and receiving feedback within 24-48 hours.

To access the On-Line Writing Center, you must first get the On-line Writing Center listed in your courses. It’s simple.

  • First, go to the Discover tab at the top of your Brightspace homepage.
  • Then in the Discover search bar, type On-Line Writing Center.
  • Once that pops up, hit “enroll” and the On-Line Writing Center will always be available in your list of courses.

Once you have enrolled in the On-Line Writing Center by following the instructions above, click on the On-Line Writing Center window and follow the instructions for submitting your paper. The tutors are notified that your paper has been uploaded and will generally respond within 24-48 hours with suggestions and comments.
