ABOUT THE MATH & SCIENCE CENTER
The Math & Center is a free resource for CMCC students. Our professional and peer tutors earn a badge from Purdue University's Tutor Essentials Training. Schedule an appointment and choose to meet either online via video conference or in person. Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduling in advance is a good idea, as tutors are sometimes in high demand.
MEET IN PERSON
The Math Science Center offers walk-ins, but it is a good idea to schedule ahead. Schedule appointments in MS Office Teams, the online Booking system. First, pick Math or Science: Schedule Science Tutoring - Bookings Page or Schedule Math Tutoring - Bookings Page Select an "In Person" course the form. Pick your date, time, tutor and fill in the contact information. You must use your CMCC email. You'll receive an email confirmation and if you opted-in to text messages, you'll receive text reminders and confirmations as well.
MEET ONLINE
Schedule a video appointment using MS Office Teams Bookings. Pick your date, time, tutor, and fill in your contact information. Use your CMCC email. You will receive an email with a link to your online appointment. If you opt-in to text messages, you will receive text message reminders and confirmations. It is possible to schedule online appointments instantly, if a slot is available. Diane Hamel is the Math & Science Center Coordinator. Diane also teaches at CMCC and likes to play Volleyball in her spare time.
Michele graduated from UCSD with a BS in Biology and took classes at CMCC. She runs her own IT consulting business, homeschools two teenagers and assists her husband with his business. She enjoys playing the piano, singing karaoke, raising chickens, and throwing a toy for the dog 500 times each day.
Alessia is a full time instructor at CMCC. She teaches Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology
