THE WRITING CENTER AT CMCC
The Writing Center is a free resource for CMCC students. Get instructive and helpful feedback on revising your writing for clarity, flow, giving credit to sources, and help with citations. Reduce your writing anxiety and improve your grades. Our Writing Center tutors are professionals who care about students and writers.
Professional Tutors are available to work one-on-one with students both online and in person. Schedule appointments through our online Bookings system, see button to the right and on the main page. Drop-in appointments are available, but it's good to schedule in advance.
MEET IN PERSON
The Writing Center offers walk-ins, but it is a good idea to schedule ahead. Schedule appointments in MS Office Teams, the online Booking system. CM Writing Center Bookings Page Select "In Person" on the form. Pick your date, time, tutor and fill in the contact information. You must use your CMCC email. You'll receive an email confirmation and if you opted-in to text messages, you'll receive text reminders and confirmations as well.
MEET ONLINE
Schedule a video appointment using the online MS Office Teams Booking system. CM Writing Center Bookings Page Select "Online" on the form. Pick your date, time, tutor, and fill in your contact information. Use your CMCC email. You will receive an email with a link to your online appointment. If you opt-in to text messages, you will receive text message reminders and confirmations. It is possible to schedule online appointments instantly, provided that slot is available. Schedule as you normally would, and then join using the appointment link in your confirmation email. If posted hours don't suit your needs, contact Dennis Camire dcarmire@cmcc.edu directly regarding availability.
