Writing Center Tutor: Gene Baird

Gene is a retired Army combat veteran, high school teacher, Eagle Scoutmaster who enjoys camping, fishing and making furniture.

Writing Center Director: John Blois

John Blois has been a long time faculty member at CMCC.  He has taught English, Comparative Religions, and other Humanities courses.  John also taught English while in Bhutan.

ELL Center Tutor: Amy Brown

Amy is an adjunct instructor at CMCC and her favorite job ever is teaching. Coming from corporate America she is happy to be working in education. Amy currently teaches Interpersonal Communication. Ask her about her difficult, but loveable dog Jeffrey.

Writing Center Tutor: Dennis Camire

Dennis graduated from UMF (BA English) and Wichita State College (MFA Creative Writing). Dennis teaches various kinds of writing including creative writing, college writing, technical writing, and business writing.  Dennis stresses that "Good writing is mastering the art of re-writing."

Tutoring Center Tutor: Ali Dihin

Tutoring Center Tutor Ali is originally from Djibouti and studied in France. He taught math at the college and high school levels for 20 years. He has a BA in Math, and a MA in Statistics. Ali will be graduating from CMCC’s Business Administration program in May. In his spare time he likes to read.

Tutoring Center Director: Diane Hamel

At CMCC, I am the Director of the Math Science Center and I teach Business Math and Basic Math. I also work as an accountant.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and playing rec league volleyball.

ELL Center Director: Karen Knox

Karen holds a Graduate Certificate in Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, a Masters of Science in Literacy Education, and a Bachelors of Science in Applied Technical Education, and an Associate in Arts of Culinary Arts.

Tutoring Center Tutor: Jeff Morris

I have taught math from basic to AP Calculus for 28 years. I enjoy tutoring as I get to take into account the differences in learning styles and levels of proficiency of each student. There is no better sound for a teacher than when they hear a student say proudly “Oh, now I understand!”
I enjoy family, playing my guitar and writing songs, and hiking in the White Mountains.

Tutoring Center Tutor: Fabrice Mvula

Fabrice is a Business Administration student at CMCC.  He comes from South Africa and enjoys drawing, eSports, and soccer.  Fabrice can help you with math and spreadsheets.  His friends call him "Fabby".

Writing Center Tutor: Tyler Pruett

Tyler Sherwood Pruett is a poet and educator with a passion for exploring indeterminate poetic forms. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, he has received notable recognition for his work, including the Best Poem in English award from The Mainichi Daily News and the Scorpion Prize from Roadrunner Journal. Tyler has been a faculty member at CM since 2023 where he guides the new generation of writers.

Tutoring Center Tutor: Gary Rattray

Gary is a retired CMCC math/science teacher.  He taught similar subjects in high school, and has also been a golf coach and Air Force flight instructor.  He enjoys traveling, learning and helping other folks learn.

Tutoring Center Tutor: Mikel Soto

Mikel is a first year CMCC student in the Exercise Science program. Mikel enjoys surfing, soccer, and helping others

Sarai graduated from CMCC with a Life Sciences degree, and from the University of Maine with a Biology degree.
